These cover a wide range of needs such as household items, travel costs or education but support will not be given for second or Masters degrees. Typically these grants will be for a maximum of £1,000.
The individual must reside within the Parish of West Hackney. Priority will be given to those in hardship or distress.

Please include two confirmations of address such as a copies of your utility bill, benefits letter, or your tenancy agreement.
The Trustees will consider individual applications four times a year. Applications must be received by the deadline dates listed below for inclusion at the meeting:

If you are unable to complete the form yourself, another person may apply on your behalf.
Soon after the meeting, you will be informed of their decision. Your application may be supported in full or in part, rejected, or deferred until the next meeting.
Payments will be made after the relevant meeting and essential administration has been completed. Payments are usually made by cheque.
Please note that if successful your grant will be subject to certain terms and conditions. Other conditions, specific to your grant, may also be attached. Any inaccurate disclosure or failure to disclose relevant information requested, will be grounds to seek repayment of any grant made.
Please note that it can sometimes take up to nine months for these applications to be fully assessed, although 95% of applications are resolved during the Trustees meeting at their first presentation. Applicants will be informed of the trustees’ decision as soon as possible after that time.
